So, I went to see Avatar last Saturday, and all I have to say is: AMAZING. Definitely the best movie of 2009, if not this century. I still love all of my other fave movies, but this definitely became my number one fave movie of all time. Excellent CGI, great graphics, amazing actors and actresses - James Cameron may not make too many movies (this is his tenth or eleventh movie only), but he's by far one of the best directors in Hollywood history. If you haven't seen it yet, go see it! You will not be dissapointed.

What am I doing for New Year's? Celebrating and partying! WOO! I'm oing to a formal party for a bit with my mother and little sister, then a more upbeat, less formal party with my friends (classmates - Juniors and Seniors only; so glad I'm a Junior this year, haha), than a smal party with Brandon (my BF), and our friends Gracie and Peter. Can't wait till the celebrating begins! :')

&HAPPY (ALMOST) NEW YEAR'S EVERYONE!

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be here on Christmas, so I'll wish all of my friends [f-list] and everyone else a happy holidays! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And I guess I should also say, happy Kwanza and Hannukah, as well! *I have no clue what days they are, though, hehe. So, yep, that's it. (:

New journal style! YAY! See, I felt like changing my header image, so I did, but realized black and white and gray (my old journal style colors) did not fit the header, which was light and colorful. So I changed all the colors in my journal to fit the journal, haha! WOO!

So, next weekend, I'm headed out to San Fransisco again, to spend part of Christmas break with my dad (and of course, my little sister is coming, tehehe). Yay! And then after the few weeks, fly back to New York to spend the rest of Christmas break with my mom and then go back to school on January 4th. <-- BOO at school! I have stupid, freaking semester finals this week. Not cool, not cool.

Glee, Episode 13, 'Sectionals' Episode Thoughts - under the cut; possible spoilers )

So, I got an idea to do a wishlist, from my buddy, Ellyce's ( [info]astoria_potter ) journal. What you do is simple:

Step One

» Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a________ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

» If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
» Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

» If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.

Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

  • I really need to work on working on updating my fics. And making a few more icons. But I have a really good excuse - uh, I mean reason - this time: I'm sick. And have to scarf down the most disgusting, gag-worthy medicine everyday, twice a day. Antibiotics - all different kinds. What do I have? Simple: the stomach flu. I probably caught it from one of my friends or classmates. But that means I have to miss school and have make up homework. Oh, well! I won't really have that much, though. Semester finals are coming up *groan*, and our teachers want us to study all next week. So no homework (WOO! The only good part about finals). But I get to catch up on sleep, stay in bed all day, be on my laptop, relax, etc. Plus, the meds are starting to kick in, so yay!
  • I'm sure most of you know about...you know, the "drama-rama" going on right now. I just found out about it - the truth, anyway - and I'm kinda pissed at the same time, totally, and utterly shocked. I also feel used and stupid (and blind), as do most/some of you, probably. All I have to say...I don't know what to say actually.
  • Moving on, though. I'll follow if you follow (on Twitter). I'm carrielalala.
  • Also, for my mutual friends, I'd like to know a few more of you. I only know a few of my mutual friends on here, so I think it'd be nice to talk to you a little more, and get to know you better. Plus, maybe we can become close friends or w/e?
  • Fun fact about me: one of my many nicknames is...wait for it...Care Bear. Yep. Care bear. As in the cute looking, colorful, loving, teddy bears. I must be SO adorable for people to call me that. *totally kidding* Ha! No. I don't think so. But I am starting to like the nickname.

  • So, I liked/loved last night's eps of One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. And I seriously cannot wait for next Monday to come! Both new eps (of OTH & GG) look suspenseful and awesome!
  • F'loved tonight's 90210. I of course, adored the Liam/Ivy scenes haha (especially their KISS!) and the Sliver/Teddy ones. Can't wait for next week's ep. Hopefully more Liam/Ivy (and Silver/Teddy) scenes. <3
  • Going to watch tonight's Melrose Place on DVR in just a little while.
  • Also, I wouldn't mind stalkers - uh, followers - on Twitter, hehe. HERE's my Twitter-link. :)

So, I was book shopping (again) earlier, and I seriously think this creepy-looking guy was giving me the "hots." Seriously. We-ee-ird. I was literally about to turn around and tell him, "Ugh, get a life?! Creepy, stalker guy!" And if he didn't listen, and would've made some kind of "move" I would've screamed, kick him in the you-know-where, and would've found my boyfriend and told him to kick the guy's ass. But, luckily for the guy, I didn't. I just continued with my book shop ignoring the weird-o, and then when I was finished, ran ou of the store, hoping he didn't follow me. Couldn't say if he did or didn't though; I didn't dare to look back. ANYWHO, moving on. I met up with my boyfriend, Brandon, at a nearby Starbuck's and then proceeded to tell him my little story. He looked like he was about to just abruptly get up from his seat and hunt the guy down. Oh, how I adore him. My love. One of the many things I'm thankful for.

Speaking of which: HAPPY LATE THANKSGIVING! Hope everyone had an amazing day.

I have a flight tomorrow leaving to New York at 6 A.M., meaning I have to get up uber early, haha. Also means that I'll get back to New York in like, 19 hours or so, since this flight isn't making any stops. I won't get to see my dad (and Rachel, his girlfriend) again, until the first two weeks of my Christmas break, but that's not too far away. So, YAY! Still, though, I'm excited to get back to New York (and my mom). So...yeah. That was my day and plans for tomorrow. :P

  • So, I've gone to my image section and deleted all of my icons, to upload new ones from all different fandoms, hehe (instead of just mostly Gossip Girl and a few 90210). Anywho, I want to change all my icons instead of having my defaul one (of N/S) set to most of them, but am currently to lazy to change 'em right now. So I'll just change them one at a time, or a few at a time, day by day, little by little.
  • Moving on: the flight was great. I'm now in San Fransisco, and am uber happy that I'm finally with my dad. Oh, how I've missed him, hehe. He looks different like he said. More muscular and strong (he was already strong before the divorce and all but now he's even more muscular & macho and whatnot then before). Which is very weird for my say, haha. I don't know why, but I guess cause he's my dad? I don't know. Anyways, his girlfriend is uber nice. I really like her.
  • Now onto my day. I went shopping today with Rachel (my dad's GF) and my little sis, who bought a new stuffed animal at Build-A-Bear workshop, hehe, and some other stuff. So, I mainly wanted to buy books, so we went to Barnes & Noble. I've found quite a good amount of books to buy and start reading, lol. An author who I bought two books of was Elizabeth Chandler. The books I bought by her were Kissed by an Angel and Dirty Secrets 1. Other books I bought: two Evermore books, Lock and Key, and a few others. It was quite a fun day. :)

So, it's that time of the year again! Not quite yet Christmas, and just barely passed Halloween. Yep. It's Thanksgiving. A time to give thanks for all the things you own and have: your family, your home, your belongings - everything. It's also time for turkey! Yes, turkey. Maybe not for everyone, but turkeys usually do represent Thanksgiving. And pies. And...you get the basic idea. It's to celebrate alms-giving and the event that took place centuries ago at Plimith rock (not sure how to spell 'Plimith') between the Pilgrims and Indians.

Anywho, I'm sure (most - if not all - of) you already know the history and story of Thanksgiving.

Now onto my plans for the holiday:
  • I'm visiting my dad in San Francisco, with my younger sister, Lilly, and my boyfriend, Brandon, whom I'm grateful my dad said could 'tag along'. My parents are divorced (they divorced in October), and split up, and the custidy is split up by school year and most (long) holiday breaks. Me and my sis live with our mom during some vacas & holidays from school, and we spend the others with dad. My mom, Lilly, and I live in New York (yeah, baby! One of the best, most awesome cities ever! And which has great stores to shop in) in a large condo, where I sometimes try to hunt down the Gossip Girl set(s), which I have suceeded most of the times (YAY!). But that's a different story, haha. Anyways, my dad lives in San Francisco in a nice, kind of European style(d) home. I'm uber excited to see him. He says he looks a little different (I haven't seen him in what seems like eternity), so I'm curious to how different he looks. So, yeah; that's part of my more personal life, haha.
  • While in San Francisco, I plan to do some sight seeing, of course. And maybe a little shopping? A girl can never have enough clothes, shoes, or accesories.
  • Two words: Sleep. In. Seriously, I've been sleep-deprived lately from getting up early to go to school, or going to bed late because of homework. Or sometimes both happen on the same day.
  • Also during my lovely trip, I get to meet my dad's new girlfriend. Even though it's painful for me to say it: yes, I have to deal with the fact that my parents are seeing new people. Though, my dad's girlfriend sounds kind of nice. Hopefully she'll be nice when I meet her, LOL. I don't want to be "Cinderella" having to deal with an evil step mother in the future and two annoying step sisters. Though, that's impossible since she has no daughters or sons. Thank the lord, hehe.
  • Work on updating fics. With this whole week off, there's no excuse for me not to update, haha.
  • See The Twilight Saga: New Moon again. Seriously, it was amazing. Definitely better than the first Twilight movie. The special effects were amazing. As was most - well, maybe all - of the actors and actresses' performance. Definitely worth seeing again. I think I've re-fallen in love with the Twilight saga and movie(s). Oh wait. I never fell out of love, so that can't be possible, lol. But I've fallen even more in love with them...if that was possible. :P
And that's all. I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving. :)
